Beef chuck (fore rib) approx. 1kg

Country of origin of the meat: Finland What do I use beef chuck for? Chuck is a slightly fatty and very tasty cut. It works well in pot roasts and soups. It is also excellent for traditional Karelian stew with pork, and for pulled beef. Beef chuck is at its best when cooked slowly for a long time at a low heat, around 60 °C, overnight, or a little faster at around 200 °C for a few hours, depending on the size of the piece. With long cooking the fat melts and the meat becomes juicy. Sometimes a piece of chuck is cut in such a way that it can also be fried as a tasty steak. There is a saying: "A good piece of chuck is better than a poor entrecôte." What is beef chuck? Beef chuck is found between the neck and the entrecôte. Because Kotitila's entrecôte is the steak cut closest to the sirloin, we also use the end of the entrecôte and the Denver cut in our chuck. Where does Kotitila's beef chuck come from? Kotitila's meat comes from about 200 small producers across Finland. We cut almost all carcasses ourselves early in the week, and they are ready for sale every Thursday. So from Thursday to Saturday you can buy fresh, Finnish, grass-fed steak beef from our shop! You can see the exact producer and area for each week's carcasses on sale at our shop, or ask us directly if you only shop online. What beef does Kotitila sell? Kotitila sells 100{8574ffb16e9356d16bd18a5bc3139c54852d699c26c39109856636a91279f44d} Finnish beef from steer breeds. The most common steer breeds we sell are Hereford, Angus, Charolais, Simmental and their various crosses. We want to buy the carcasses we sell directly from small Finnish producers or through small abattoirs. Has Bovaer been given to the beef cattle sold at Kotitila? The meat producers who supply Kotitila have not used Bovaer for their beef cattle. Are the beef cattle sold at Kotitila given medicines? Yes, animals are treated and cared for properly, with medicines given as needed. No unnecessary supplements, additives or medicines are given.   Kotitila beef chuck (fore rib) for stews and soups.
